Tilly Smith Obituary
Tilly Mathilde Smith(Née: Mathilde Jeanne Rosalie Bougreau, formerly: Webster), 71, of Moscow, ID died January 1, 2025 at Gritman Medical Center.
Tilly Smith was born July 4, 1953 to Émile Bougreau and Jeannine Plisson in the 15th arrondissement Paris, France.
When she was 15 she joined The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints in Paris, France and remained a faithful member serving in many ways until her passing. Tilly graduated from the University of Alabama, and during her professional career, worked in the high-tech(Digital Equipment Corp) and surgical instrument manufacturing(Smith and Nephew) industries and eventually for the State of Idaho Medicaid office. She volunteered for several years at the Museum of Idaho, in Idaho Falls where she taught the public, including hundreds of school children and college students. A true polyglot, she was fluent in 9 languages (French, English, German, Italian, Chinese, Spanish, Russian, Hebrew and Arabic) and understood many others.
Tilly enjoyed spending time with her family and doing in depth research into family history. She and her husband, Robert were avid travelers, they put 500,000 miles on their cars during the many road trips and numerous over seas visits.
Tilly is survived by her husband, Robert”Bob” Smith and 6 children, Daughter Stéphanie(Scott) Knight of Kipling, North Carolina. Sons, David Webster of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Aharon(Shannon) Smith of Preston, Idaho, Jonathon(Treva) Smith of Yakima, Washington and Benjamin(Colleen) Smith of Moscow, Idaho. 9 grandchildren, Spencer(Dianne) Knight of Lillington, North Carolina, Jacob Knight of Kipling, North Carolina, Samuel Knight of Semi-Valley, California, A. Ryleigh Cook-Wright, Adilee Smith, Parker Smith, Adam Smith, Marshall Smith, and Anders Smith. 2 great grandchildren, Daisy and Laurel Knight.
A private family graveside service is planned at Moscow City Cemetery.
A celebration of life is being planned for the spring.

Décédée, mercredi le 1er janvier 2025, Madame Tilly Mathilde Smith (nom de jeune fille : Mathilde Jeanne Rosalie Bougreau, autrefois: Webster), âgée de 71 ans, résidente à la ville de Moscow dans l’état de Idaho, USA. La défunte est morte aux Gritman Medical Center de Moscow, Idaho, USA.
Tilly est née le 4 juillet 1953 de Émile Bougreau et sa femme Jeannine Plisson ses père et mere dans le 15em arrondissement de Paris, Île-de-France, France.
Entant que jeune fille Tilly participais beaucoup avec les Scoute du Foyer de Grenelle, rue l’Avre au Paris 15em. Ensuite à l’âge de 15 ans elle s’est jointe à l’Église de Jésus Christ des Sains de Dernier Jours et à continuer de servir avec fidélité en plusieurs paroisse jusqu’à sa mort. Tilly a reçu son diplôme de l’Université d’Alabama, et pendant sa carrière elle a travaillé dans les secteurs de high-technologies (Digitale Equipment Corps en France et aux USA), la manufacture des instruments chirurgicales (Smith & Nephew, USA), et éventuellement au bureau de Medicaid pour l’état de Idaho. Pendant presque dix ans elle était volontaire doyenne au Musée d’Idaho, en Idaho Falls, Idaho ou elle a enseigné le publique et surtout des centaines d’écoliers, et des étudiants universitaire. Une véritable polyglotte, elle parlait 9 langues couramment (Français, Anglais, Allemand, Italia, Chinois, Espagnole, Russe, Hébreux, et l’Arab) et en comprenait plusieurs autre.
Une femme et mère très dévouée, Tilly aimer passer son temps en famille. Tilly était aussi une experte pour les recherches généalogiques, elle savait très bien naviguer tous les archives départementales et documents obscure pour retrouver les ancêtres perdues. Une femme courageuse et curieuse elle et son mari, Robert « Bob » voyager beaucoup. Pendant leurs 20ans de mariage ils on mis plus de 500,000 miles sure leurs voitures avec leurs multitudes de chemins de routes/ voyages aux USA et aussi a l’étranger.
Les survivants de Tilly sont : son mari Robert « Bob » Smith et 6 enfants, fille Stéphanie(Scott) Knight de Kipling, Caroline du Nord, USA. Ses fills, David Webster de Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA, Aharon(Shannon) Smith de Preston, Idaho, USA, Jonathon(Treva) Smith de Yakima, Washington et Benjamin(Colleen) Smith de Moscow, Idaho. 9 petite-enfants, Spencer(Dianne) Knight de Lillington, Caroline du Nord, Jacob Knight Kipling, Caroline du Nord, Samuel Knight de Semi-Valley, Californie, A. Ryleigh Carroll-Wright, Adilee Smith, Parker Smith, Adam Smith, Marshall Smith, et Anders Smith. Aussi 2 arrière-petites-filles, Daisy and Laurel Knight. Il lui reste son frère cadet Gilles Bougreau de Fontenay-aux-Roses, 2 neveux, et 2 petites-nièces, et plusieurs cousins encore habitant la France.
Une petite réunion se fera en famille sure place a Idaho prévu au cimetière de la ville Moscow, Idaho pour Lundi le 6 Janvier.
Les obsèques complètes avec une célébration de vie et prévu dans le printemps pour permettre la famille de venir de France et ailleurs.
